Nick Cave stuns Brighton with surprise rooftop record shop gig

Nick Cave Brighton The Bad Seeds

Rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds performed a surprise gig on the roof of Resident Music record shop in Brighton on Friday morning.
The band's set included their track "Train Long Suffering", a cover of T Rex's "Cosmic Dancer", and "Henry Lee", with backing singer Janet Ramus performing PJ Harvey's part.
At the end of the performance, Cave said: “See you tonight. Thank you, thank you, Resident Records, for this best f****** record shop in the world.”
The surprise performance precedes Cave's main concert at Preston Park on Friday night.
Other related events in Brighton included a pop-up shop at Resident Music, a welcome message at Brighton Station recorded by Cave, and film screenings selected by the musician.
