Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos has been red hot during the NLDS against the Braves, and he made MLB postseason history with his batting exploits in Thursday’s Game 4.
After hitting two home runs in both Game 3 and Game 4, Castellanos became the first player in MLB history with consecutive multi-home run games in the postseason, according to Sarah Langs of MLB.com.
Castellanos hit two solo home runs in Game 3, playing a significant role in Philadelphia’s 10-2 win. In Game 4, Castellanos hit two more solo shots, one coming in the fourth inning, and the other during his next at-bat in the sixth. Both of his homers on Thursday came off Atlanta’s ace, Spencer Strider.

Castellanos has found his groove in front of the Phillies’ home crowd at Citizens Bank Park. In addition to his historic multi-home run milestone, the outfielder has recorded logged multiple hits in each of Philadelphia’s last three games.
Prior to Wednesday night, the 31-year-old had not hit a postseason home run since 2014. Now, he has four in the span of just two days, and is the owner of an impressive piece of MLB history.
