Nick Cannon has been slammed as ‘irresponsible’ by furious fans after the star confirmed he’s expecting more kids this year.
The 41-year-old welcomed three kids last year alone - twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa, and son Zen with Alyssa Scott - and he’s already dad to 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey, as well as Golden, 5, and Powerful Queen, 1 with Brittany Bell.
And in January, Nick confirmed he’s expecting his eighth child with model Bre Tiesi, and his baby mama Abby De La Rosa is also pregnant again, but has so far refused to say who the father is.
During an interview on the Lip Service podcast, Nick hinted he was going to welcome even more kids this year, as he suggested another three could be on their way.
Quizzed over reports that he has “three babies on the way,” the rapper and actor told hosts Angela Yee and Gigi Maguire: “When you say 'on the way... ' What count are you at? Let's just put it this way ... the stork is on the way.”
And when asked if he was expecting three more kids, he teased: “I don't know, it could be…”
He then said he plans on breaking his own record by fathering more children this year.
“If you thought it was a lot of kids last year…” he laughed.
Fans on Reddit were furious with the former America’s Got Talent host, as they called him out and pleaded with him to “stop”.
“OMFG. He’s truly nasty and someone needs to stop him,” one fan wrote.
“100%. He needs help,” another agreed.
“There’s a thin line between wanting to have a big family and just amassing kids as he goes along. He’s a sperm donor at this point. He’s not a father. He needs help,” one added.
He also spoke about his brief stint at celibacy, as he revealed he swore off sex from October last year, but only lasted a couple of months.
“I got depressed with the loss of my son. So in December ... the thing is everybody saw I was so down. So everybody was like, 'Let's just give him a little vagina, and that's gonna cure it all,’” he quipped.
He said he started “f***ing like crazy” because he was in a weak state following the devastating loss of his son Zen, who passed away in December at the age of five months, after he was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour.
