Nick Candy has reportedly held a meeting with Chelsea chiefs Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck over the possible purchase of the football club.
The 49-year-old businessman is one of numerous interested parties in taking over the club from Roman Abramovich, who was sanctioned by the UK government last week. However, Chelsea is still up for sale, although the situation has become more complicated due to the sanctions.
According to Nizaar Kinsella of GOAL, a meeting with Candy, Granovskaia and Buck has already taken place over the possibility of taking over the Blues. Kinsella tweeted: "I'm told Nick Candy (possible buyer), Bruce Buck and Marina Granovskaia had a private meeting at Stamford Bridge on Sunday."

Candy is a known Chelsea supporter and insisted last week that he just wants to see the club fall into "safe hands". In the same interview, he also confirmed his intention to allow a supporter on the club's board if he was to take over from Abramovich.
He told Sky Sports: "I've supported Chelsea since I was the age of four. My dad was asked to play for Chelsea. I love Chelsea. I don't mind where it ends up, even if it's not with me, as long as it's in safe hands."
Asked if the fans needed to be involved in the ownership, Candy responded: "One hundred per cent and they should be involved. Both on the board and economically."
This was the first time we heard from Candy himself about his intentions to buy Chelsea, but he also sent a spokesperson out on his behalf to register his interest at the weekend. The statement to Sky News read: "We welcome the news that the sale of the club will be conducted quickly.
"This is a reassuring development for fans after a week of great uncertainty. Mr Candy cares hugely about the future of the club and believes the fans and the community are central to its continued success.
"Should his bid be successful, Mr Candy would advocate for a fan representative to join the board so supporters become part of the decision-making process. If the club requires money to operate in the short-term, Mr Candy would be happy to help ensure it has the necessary financial resources, subject to government approval."
