Nice manager Didier Digard has backed Sir Jim Ratcliffe's bid to buy Manchester United and doesn't believe it would impact his commitment to the French club.
Ratcliffe is a United supporter and declared himself interested in purchasing the club after the Glazers put it up for sale in November. The 70-year-old has been involved in each round of bidding so far including the most recent round in April.
Ratcliffe is already the owner of French side Nice and there had been some concern among their fanbase that purchasing United could halt the Ligue 1 side's ambition.

However, Digard has given his backing to Ratcliffe's attempts to buy the Reds. "No, very sincerely [I have no ill feeling towards Ratcliffe's United bid]," he said. "For me, Manchester United is something else. I don’t think we’re dependent on that at all.
"The boss has made such an investment in Nice that, sincerely, if he can give himself the gift of Manchester United, I would be happy for him because we know that it is something that is close to his heart. Above all else we know that he won’t disengage from OGC Nice.
"So, for us, that won’t change anything. I can guarantee to you that people are giving 100 per cent to make this club [Nice] grow."
Ratcliffe is not the only prospective owner of United. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani is also in the running and he is hopeful of completing a full takeover of the club which would see the Glazers leave.
