Niall Horan has laughed off Lewis Capaldi's recent kiss with Harry Styles at the BRIT Awards, with many joking that the Scottish star "cheated" on the hitmaker.
The singer-songwriter who is gearing up for the release of his third studio album, The Show, previously branded Lewis a cheat via text message following the cheeky smooch.
It comes just less than a week after Harry, 29, who walked away from the BRIT Awards with four gongs proceeded to find Capaldi, 26, before planting a kiss on his lips.
Discussing the incident on stage on his European tour, Lewis said Niall text him hours after he and Harry puckered up, explaining that he got a text saying: "B**ch."
He later added: "So I says, 'what's up?' And he said, again just one word, 'cheat', and then that's it. I haven't heard from him since."
But Niall has now broken his silence and found humour at the moment during an appearance on The Hits Radio Breakfast Show.
Host James Barr said: "Lewis Capaldi has publicly cheated on you by giving Harry a bit of a snog at the BRITs. So I'm just checking you're ok? Do you need my shoulder to cry on or are you alright?"
Niall quipped: "Listen, we're working through it, it's been a tough few days.
"I'm sure there's a song in it, so I'm going to stay quiet and then come out with a big FU ballad."
While performing across Europe, Lewis said on stage: "These lips belong to another and his name is f***ing Niall Horan."
However, he had previously teased that he had his sights set on another member of One Direction despite Niall being his "number one".
"I'm going to find you, Liam Payne, you're next, baby," he told the crowd before refusing to reveal who the better kisser is out of Niall and Harry.
Niall recently dropped the first single from his new album, Heaven, having performed a tiny snippet of the song on James Corden's Late Late Show.
Speaking about his new record, Niall told fans: "This album is a piece of work I'm so proud of and now it’s time to pass it over to you to go and make it your own.
"Thank you so much for being there for me all this time and I can't wait to share the next couple of years of this new era with you.
"I've missed you all so much, it's good to be back."
The Show is set for release on June 9, 2023.
