Niall, Kelly and Chance The Rapper will be taking over from John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello in the 23rd season of the popular competition show. The new season will be country star Shelton's last on the show after a 12-year run.

Niall announced the news on Instagram with a cryptic post consisting of a photo of a victory hand emoji with no caption, tagging fellow coach Kelly Clarkson and sending fans into a frenzy in the comments. One person wrote: "Niall, Kelly clarkson, chance the rapper and Blake Shelton??? Either they’re hacked or we’re going to have the oddest collabs of all time!!"

Another wrote: "NIALL WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??"
