NHS Tayside has warned locals that GP surgeries across the region will shut next week.
The practices will be closed for the Platinum Jubilee holiday next Thursday and Friday.
Health bosses have urged all residents to check doctor’s opening times and make sure they know ‘where to get the right care in the right place’.
If locals have non-urgent health issues over the holidays they are advised to wait until their GP surgery reopens or contact a local pharmacy.
They can also access self help guides for a range of common illnesses here.
If someone thinks they need A&E but it’s not life-threatening, they have been urged to call 111 day or night.
They have been told not to attend A&E or call 111 with a problem that they would normally see their own GP with.
If it’s an emergency, everyone has been advised to call 999 or go to A&E.
Residents have also been asked to order and collect any regular medication if required before the public holidays.
There is no need to order additional medication.
Providing repeat medication out of hours may delay treatment of patients with an urgent problem.
