An NHS nurse says she 'won't go back' to Lidl after claiming she was accused of theft - for eating a single cashew. Anna Bagot says she ate a loose nut to check its quality, saying she previously bought a stale bag.
But the 60-year-old says she was confronted by a member of staff, who allegedly accused her of stealing. Anna said the incident, which took place at her hometown branch in Fakenham, Norfolk, 'left her reeling'.
The budget supermarket says it ''kindly asks that products are purchased before consumption''. Anna said: "It was so so awful. I felt quite intimidated. It's not like I was having my lunch. It was half a nut - it's absolutely ridiculous.
