NHS Lanarkshire to issue appointments for those eligible for pneumococcal vaccine

NHS Lanarkshire has begun to issue appointments for the pneumococcal vaccine for those aged 65 and over.

From May 13, those over that age and others with certain long-term health conditions will begin to receive appointments for their pneumococcal vaccine.

This vaccine was previously provided by GP practices. However, changes to the national GP contract sees this move to the responsibility of NHS Lanarkshire.
