An NHS doctor has been charged with multiple counts of inviting supports for Hamas, police have said.

Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, 31, of Pilning, South Gloucestershire, was arrested at her home address on Thursday morning for breaching police bail conditions imposed following previous arrests.

She was transported to a central London police station where she was charged with four counts of inviting support for Hamas, a proscribed group, alongside two other charges.

The Metropolitan Police said Aladwan had been charged under Section 12 (1A) of the Terrorism Act 2000 for allegedly inviting support for a proscribed organisation, namely Hamas, on four separate dates from July to December 2025.

Aladwan has also been charged with using words that “were threatening, abusive or insulting intending thereby to stir up racial hatred”, under Section 18 of the Public Order Act 1986 on King Charles Street on July 21, 2025.

She was also charged with publishing or distributing “written material that was threatening, abusive or insulting intending thereby to stir up racial hatred or having regard to all the circumstances was reckless as to whether racial hatred would be stirred up” under Section 19 of the Public Order Act 1986 on November 19, 2025.

Aladwan was remanded in custody and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, Scotland Yard said.
