NHS and armed forces discount for Liverpool supporters on new home shirt and more

Liverpool's new home kit for the 2022/23 season has been a hit with supporters following its release on Thursday morning.

The club say the kit is inspired by the attitude of ‘Scouse solidarity’ and reflects the mentality of its people - one that makes Liverpool truly unique. The kit includes intricate YNWA detailing on the sleeve cuff, said to represent the bond between the fans and the club.

And on the reverse, the 97-emblem encased by the eternal flames sits at the nape of the neck in memory of those children, women and men who lost their lives at Hillsborough. The change from 96 to 97 is in recognition of Andrew Stanley Devine, the 97th person unlawfully killed as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.

And Reds supporters who work in the NHS, social care or armed forces can get a 10% discount on the new kit if they have a Blue Light Card. The UK’s number one discount service for emergency services, NHS, social care and armed forces workers, Blue Light Card is partnered with over 15,000 retailers both national and local, providing savings, discounts and benefits that often aren’t available to the general public.

Membership to Blue Light Card for access to all online deals and discounts is quick and easy by registering online at www.bluelightcard.co.uk. A card costs £4.99 and is valid for two years. As well as saving money on Liverpool’s new kit, Reds supporters, in possession of a Blue Light Card, are entitled to 10% off all full priced purchases at Official LFC Club Stores

Speaking on his side’s new kit, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson said: “We’re all so proud to wear the Liverpool FC jersey and be part of the swoosh family. We know exactly what this jersey means to our fans, and we can’t wait to run out in it at Anfield.”
