Jets fans hope their team does not continue to follow in the Senators’ footsteps from that season. Following their hot start, the Senators faltered and endured a coaching change. The Senators finished in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a 43-31-8 record.

Last season it took the Winnipeg Jets until the season’s 23rd game to get the 13th win. In the years with the Winnipeg Jets’ strongest starts, 13 wins were not achieved until Game 20 (in the 2022-2023 season and 2020-2021 season).
