In one of the biggest regular-season games of Sean McVay’s career, the Los Angeles Rams are favored against the New Orleans Saints. It’s a game with significant playoff implications, with the Rams’ playoff odds dropping from 48% to 9% if they lose to New Orleans, according to the New York Times.
Not only are the books favoring the Rams, but the experts are heavily leaning Los Angeles’ way, too. According to Tallysight, 93% of experts are picking the Rams to win on Thursday night. With the Rams giving 4 points, 73% of experts are taking them to cover the spread.
As for the over/under, 56% are taking the over, with the line set at 46 points.
The Rams have covered the spread in each of their last four games, and they’re 4-1 straight-up since their Week 10 bye. The only time they didn’t cover the spread in their last five games was when they beat the Seahawks, 17-16, as 1.5-point favorites.
While the Rams and Saints both have the same record at 7-7, it’s Los Angeles that’s been playing much better as of late. Pair that with the fact that the Rams are at home, and it’s easy to see why the oddsmakers and experts are both favoring Sean McVay’s squad.
