Former Bears head coach Matt Nagy has found himself a new coaching job in the NFL. Nagy is rejoining Andy Reid in Kansas City as a Chiefs’ senior assistant and quarterbacks coach.
Before becoming Chicago’s head coach in 2018, Nagy spent his entire coaching career with Reid, which included stops in Philadelphia and Kansas City. Nagy first served as the Chiefs’ quarterbacks coach from 2013-15 before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2016. That helped him get the head coach job with the Bears.
As you can imagine, NFL fans had plenty to say about Nagy getting another shot with his mentor in Kansas City. One thing that came up on several occasions were jokes about Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ stock plummeting now that Nagy is his quarterbacks coach.
