NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Friday that the NFL is suspending five players, including four from the Detroit Lions, for violating the league’s gambling policy.
Lions wide receivers Jameson Williams and Stanley Berryhill each have six-game bans, per Rapoport, while wideout Quintez Cephus and defensive back C.J. Moore are suspended indefinitely.
Washington Commanders pass rusher Shaka Toney also is suspended indefinitely.

With the draft less than one week away, we’re looking at how it’ll impact the NFL draft and the Eagles.
Detroit
The Lions have the No. 6 and No. 18 overall picks, and with four players gone from the roster, draft decisions could be altered.
Williams was selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round (12th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft and was expected to be a critical pass catcher for quarterback Jared Goff.
He’ll now miss six games at the minimum, and Detroit could alter their draft plans after losing three wide receivers and one defender to suspension.
Eagles
Philadelphia is looking for a game-changing defender, and Detroit potentially not drafting a defensive player at No. 6 overall could be huge for the Eagles’ hopes of landing Will Anderson, Tyree Wilson, Jalen Carter, or Christian Gonzalez.
