Former Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy made NFL combine history on Saturday by setting a new record in the 40-yard dash.
Once the time was official, Worthy’s 4.21-second time topped John Ross III’s legendary 4.22-second time as the best-ever 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.
It was a bewildering accomplishment for Worthy, who will now be known as the fastest player in NFL combine history (until someone else comes along and beats the record).
The NFL’s Twitter (X) account shared a simulcam view that overlays Worthy’s record-breaking 40-yard dash with Ross’ previous record-holding attempt, which is a thing of beauty.

It’s just not something you ever take for granted to see a moment like this live at the NFL combine, as it’ll be talked about during NFL combine season for years to come.
Some NFL team is going to draft an incredibly speedy wide receiver in Worthy in April as this simulcam video clearly shows.
