The Atlanta Falcons didn’t do themselves any favors by losing to the Chicago Bears in Week 17, but their playoff chances haven’t completely evaporated just yet.
It’s fairly rare for a team to have a better shot at winning its division than securing a wild-card spot, however, that’s the situation the Falcons find themselves in entering into Sunday’s season finale.
To secure the NFC South crown, the Falcons need to defeat the New Orleans Saints on the road in Week 18, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers must lose to the Carolina Panthers.
