NFL odds: Broncos are 5.5-point favorites vs. Seahawks in Week 1

The Denver Broncos are considered 5.5-point betting favorites over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1, according to Tipico Sportsbook.

This marks an increase from earlier this offseason when Denver initially opened a 3.5-point favorite after the NFL announced its schedule in May.

The over/under for total points scored between the two teams has been set at at 42.5 points.

Last year, the Broncos scored an average of 19.7 points per game and allowed an average of 18.9 points per game for a total average of 38.6. The Seahawks scored 23.2 points per game and allowed 21.5 points per game, a total game average of 44.7. Combined and averaged, Denver and Seattle games averaged 41.65 points in 2021.

At the time of this writing, 75% of betters on Tipico Sportsbook have backed the Broncos to win the game.

Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson will be making his return to Lumen Field in Week 1 after the Seahawks traded him to the Broncos earlier this offseason. The Monday Night Football showdown will be nationally televised on ESPN.
