The New York Jets were the first team to fire their head coach when they let go of Robert Saleh on Oct. 8. Following the team’s Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London, Jets owner Woody Johnson fired Saleh and promoted defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich to interim head coach.
At the time of Saleh’s firing, the Jets were 2-3. Since Ulbrich took over, New York is 1-4.
On Nov. 4, the New Orleans Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen and promoted special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi to interim head coach.
After starting the season 2-0, the Saints lost seven consecutive games. The seventh loss came to the Carolina Panthers, a team New Orleans beat 47-10 in Week 1.

Shane Steichen | Indianapolis Colts | +2000 |
Mike McDaniel | Miami Dolphins | +3300 |
Dave Canales | Carolina Panthers | +7500 |
According to BetOnline, Jacksonville’s Doug Pederson (-125) is the favorite to be the next coach fired. The Jaguars are 2-8.
Despite the poor record, the biggest reason why Pederson might get fired is due to Trevor Lawrence’s regression. Lawrence has struggled all year, throwing for 2,004 yards, 11 touchdowns, and six interceptions with a 61.3% completion percentage. Lawrence is also dealing with a shoulder injury that has led to him missing games.
Right behind Pederson is Chicago’s Matt Eberflus (+125). After a 4-2 start, the Bears have lost three consecutive games. The offense looks broken, and rookie Caleb Williams is not developing on a positive trajectory. The Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron to hopefully spark this offense.
