The Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders will have the luxury of starting off the entire NFL season as they are set to play in the first game of the season, which is the Hall of Fame game. That game will be aired on NBC this year, which is a rarity for the Jags.
However, that won’t be the only preseason game that is nationally aired with the Jags in it. They will also be on NFL Network for their Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons, which is their last preseason game.
The game will be an away game for the Jags as they will travel to Mercedes Benz Stadium. Kickoff for the game will be at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, Aug. 27.
The week leading into their game with the Falcons will be a busy one as the Jags will have joint practices with the Falcons heading into their meeting. The dates for those joint practices will be on Aug. 24-25, which is the Wednesday and Thursday before the game.
The Jags joint practices and game against Atlanta will be huge for the Jags’ evaluation process because final cuts are just three days after the game on Aug. 30. That means a lot of bubble players could be the ones getting looks in the game, though the practices could be used to help get the starters ready for the regular season.
