The NFL has handed out some notable fines — including a major one — a week removed from the Cincinnati Bengals beating the Seattle Seahawks.
Yes, two Bengals players were fined. But all three of the Seahawks players fined by the league received much bigger monetary setbacks than the Bengals players.
Per the NFL’s accountability page, Seattle tight end Will Dissly got hit with a $16,391 fine for unnecessary roughness.
Wideout DK Metcalf got hit with the same exact thing for that infamous shove of Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt, picking up his fourth penalty in five games. Prior to the inevitable fine letter going out, Metcalf made some strange comments about his actions, too.
And then there is Seahawks safety Jamal Adams.
Adams was fined $50,000 for another confrontation with an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant on the sidelines, reportedly due to his actions while a teammate was undergoing checks for a concussion. It’s the second time this season Adams has been the subject of scrutiny for his actions around UNC personnel.
