The newest cast of Dancing With the Stars was announced Wednesday and one of the names is a familiar one to sports fans. This time when Adrian Peterson suits up for a nationally televised performance, he’ll be putting his footwork to more elegant use.
The all-time great running back was announced as one of the 14 celebrities on this season of Dancing With the Stars and he’s coming for it all.
“I’m here to win,” Peterson said after showing off some of his dance moves in the announcement.
The future Hall of Famer wasn’t much of a dancer on the field, but it looks like he’s viewing retirement as a second life.

Peterson, now 38, is No. 5 on the all-time NFL rushing list at 14,918 yards and has more accomplishments than most at his position. He’s a seven-time All-Pro who led the NFL in rushing yards on three different occasions and is one of the few players to ever rush for over 2,000 yards in a season. His historic 2012 campaign earned him MVP honors as well as the Offensive Player of the Year award.
Needless to say, plenty of Vikings fans will likely tune in to watch their former star try to win it all in season 23 of the iconic show.
