The streaming service DAZN has entered the bidding to take on EFL broadcasting rights.
DAZN, which has deals with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom boxing promotion to broadcast Anthony Joshua's fights, wants to show every EFL game from across the three divisions and end the 3pm blackout rule. The platform's move for the EFL broadcasting rights comes after it penned a landmark ten-year deal with the NFL to deliver its Game Pass International service worldwide
Game Pass has been the go-to for international NFL fans to watch matches, with almost every game being shown in the UK bar those selected for broadcast by the League's primary broadcast partner Sky Sports. It was announced in February that DAZN had agreed with the NFL to show matches everywhere except in the United States of America and China.
