If the NFL does have a so-called script, it nailed the first round of the playoffs by setting up a showdown between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions. It’s Matthew Stafford against his former team and Jared Goff against his former team, a matchup three years after the quarterbacks were traded for each other in 2021.
This battle was set up by the Rams’ win over the 49ers on Sunday and the Cowboys’ win over the Commanders, which locked the Lions into the third seed, with Los Angeles being the No. 6 seed. And it all came down to a Carson Wentz rushing touchdown and two-point conversion to Tutu Atwell.
