Anticipation for the NFL Draft is hotting up with the countdown to the big event really starting to begin.
Kansas City, home of the reigning Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs, will host this year's edition of the Draft in a plaza set up outside the city's historic Union Station. Beginning on April 27 and lasting for three whole days, the main event is the first round of the Draft which will see some of the best college football players take the next step into the professional game.
As things stand, the Carolina Panthers have the first pick having traded up from the Chicago Bears while the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks make up the top five teams in the draft. The Seahawks traded up from the Denver Broncos to land a place in the top five of the Draft with top talent such as quarterbacks C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young of Ohio State and Alabama respectively expected to go inside the top two picks.

The Mirror reports that some already think the Seahawks could be starting mind games having been widely tipped to land a defensive player in the Draft. They have been seen to be contemplating the idea of taking a quarterback, but there is the possibility that teams may trade up to take a QB with defensive players going later on in the first round which would suit Seattle.
Meanwhile, Jalen Carter, expected to be drafted this year having been superb for Georgia, will not meet with a team that does not hold a top ten draft pick. Carter is widely expected to be a top draft pick and has been invited to the event later this month.
"I'm confident Jalen will go in the top 10," his agent Drew Rosenhaus said. "He's a good person, a family man, loves football and is a generational talent."
