Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I'm here to assist.
On DraftKings, it's important to remember you're playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player surpasses 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.
Here is my optimal lineup for Sunday's $3 million Fantasy Football Millionaire contest, but can be utilized as a foundation in other games and platforms.
All prices listed are courtesy of DraftKings with a $50,000 budget.
These lineups have netted $260, so I'm even through 14 weeks.
— QB: Justin Herbert, Chargers ($7,200)
The Titans can stop the run, and even if they couldn't, it's not like the Chargers could capitalize. The Titans can't stop the pass when they're healthy, which they are not currently (several starters will be out on Sunday). All of the stars seem to be aligning for Herbert to produce his first 30-point game on DraftKings this season.
— RB: Derrick Henry, Titans ($8,000)
Tennessee is missing starters on offense too and the Chargers are lousy against the run, allowing a league-worst 5.4 yards per carry. Henry needs 131 yards to surpass Earl Campbell for third most scrimmage yards in franchise history. He needs to at least come close if the Titans have any hope to be competitive in this game.
— RB: Jerick McKinnon, Chiefs ($5,200)
I don't necessarily believe McKinnon will match his offensive explosion from a week ago — 134 total yards, seven receptions and two touchdowns against the Broncos — but the Texans are allowing the most fantasy points to running backs. Both Isiah Pacheco and "Jet" will have an opportunity to smash on Sunday, but I'm siding with McKinnon because of his usage in the pass game and he's handled close to 80% of the red-zone snaps the last two games.
— WR: Keenan Allen, Chargers ($6,800)
The Titans have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers and Allen has had at least five receptions, 94 yards or a TD in all four games since returning from a hamstring injury. He's also received 14 targets in back-to-back games.
— WR: Chris Godwin, Buccaneers ($6,700)
Godwin is averaging 11.1 targets in his last eight games and the Bengals will be without their best cornerback Mike Hilton, who normally locks down slot receivers. I expect Tampa Bay to be refocused after being manhandled by the 49ers last Sunday.
— WR: Mike Williams, Chargers ($6,300)
The Titans are especially bad against perimeter wide receivers, who have averaged the fourth-most DraftKings points per game against Tennessee according to Fantasy Pros. This is why I'm double-stacking the Bolts.
— TE: Greg Dulcich, Broncos ($3,600)
Brett Rypien's passes will be funneled towards Jerry Jeudy and Dulcich with Courtland Sutton and Kendall Hinton both out with hamstring injuries. It wouldn't shock me if the rookie ends up with the lion's share of those targets either. The Cardinals have allowed league highs in receptions (86), yards (950) and TDs (nine) to opposing tight ends.
— FLEX: Nelson Agholor, Patriots ($3,400)
Agholor had his best season as a pro in his only season with the Raiders in 2020 with 896 yards and eight TDs. They let him walk in free agency and now the big-play threat will likely be Mac Jones' primary target on Sunday with Jakobi Meyers and DeVante Parker both still dealing with concussions. Agholor has averaged seven targets the last three games. His usage could be boosted even more if an ankle injury limits or sidelines Rhamondre Stevenson as well.
— DST: Denver Broncos ($2,700)
The Cardinals have already played at high altitude this season and it didn't end well. In a Monday night matchup in Mexico City with the 49ers in Week 11, Arizona scored 10 points and Colt McCoy was intercepted twice while being sacked three times in a 38-10 drubbing. Denver isn't quite as far above sea level as the Mexican capital, and the Broncos defense isn't as good as the Niners, but not much has changed for the Cardinals since then.
