NFL creating ‘bubble’ setting for combine next month

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the operations of the NFL. The league communicated information to NFL draft prospects who were invited to the NFL combine next month about protocols they will need to follow.

NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero acquired a copy of the communication.

The combine will be set up in a bubble setting, limiting where prospects and personnel can go.

From the memo:

Players will be restricted to secure Combine venues during their entire time in Indianapolis for their protection. Players who violate this policy at any time will be disqualified from further participation and will be sent home.

Players will be able to have one medical support person accompany them to the combine. That person must be fully vaccinated and the player must notify the league who that person will be.

In addition, all food will be provided by the league.

Players and attendees will not be required to wear facemasks but are encouraged to do so.
