The NFL released the start time for all Week 18 games Monday, with both NFC East games kicking off at the same time.
The Washington Commanders [7-8-1] host the Dallas Cowboys [12-4] from FedEx Field in a game that suddenly means nothing for Washington and everything for Dallas. The Commanders were eliminated from playoff contention after Sunday’s loss to the Browns.
Dallas and Washington will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys still have an opportunity to win the NFC East, capture the NFC’s No. 1 overall seed and earn home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. If the Eagles win, the Cowboys are the No. 5 seed regardless of whether they win or lose. However, if the Eagles lose, Dallas is at least the No. 2 seed by virtue of winning the NFC East. If the San Francisco 49ers lose, in addition to the Eagles losing, the Cowboys will hold the No. 1 overall seed.
Speaking of the Eagles, they host the New York Giants. That game also kicks off at 4:25. The 49ers, who host the Cardinals, also kick off at 4:25, meaning every NFC team should learn their fate by around 7:30 p.m ET.
The Giants are locked into the No. 6 seed, while the No. 7 seed will be determined on Sunday Night Football when the Packers host the Lions. If the Packers win, they are in. If the Lions win and the Seattle Seahawks lose their game, which is also a 4:25 kickoff against the Los Angeles, the Lions get the final spot. However, if Seattle and Detroit both win, the Seahawks are in.
Buckle up; Week 18 should be fun — unless you’re a fan of the Commanders, who are now just trying to make life miserable for the Cowboys.
