The NFC South is shaping up to be another close race between three slightly above-average teams, but it wasn’t a good week for the division.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers all lost in Week 6. Here’s your recap of what was a forgettable Sunday in the NFC South.
1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: (3-2)
The Buccaneers lost to the Detroit Lions in Week 6, something the Falcons can relate to. In Week 7, Tampa Bay will host Atlanta in a game that could be pivotal to the NFC South race. Watch highlights of the Buccaneers’ Week 6 loss to Detroit below.
2
Atlanta Falcons (3-3)
The Falcons couldn’t deliver in the fourth quarter the way they have in their other three home games this season. Desmond Ridder threw three interceptions and the team now drops to 3-3 on the season. Watch highlights of Sunday’s loss to the Commanders below.
3
New Orleans Saints (3-3)
The Saints lost to the Houston Texans in Week 6. QB Derek Carr threw for 355 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Next week, New Orleans will play on Thursday night football at home against the Jaguars. Check out highlights from the Saints’ Week 6 loss to the Texans.
4
Carolina Panthers: 0-6
The Panthers have still yet to win a game since hiring head coach Frank Reich and drafting QB Bryce Young over the offseason. Reich has stepped down as the team’s play-caller, so things aren’t going so well in Carolina. In Week 6, the Panthers lost to the Miami Dolphins. Watch highlights from Sunday’s game below.
