There has been speculation linking the 31-year-old with leaving Princes Park after six years, with Manchester United one club to be loosely linked earlier this year should Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim take over at Old Trafford. The Manchester Evening News understands that a move would be incredibly unlikely under the current regime.
Unconfirmed reports emerged in May that United had supposedly made contact with PSG over a move for the Brazilian, but there have been no concrete updates from either party since. United boss Erik ten Hag played down that talk, when asked in a press conference towards the end of the season.
