With the jury still out for some on current Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui, many are turning to the next West Ham manager odds to see who might take over at the London Stadium – should the London side part company with their Spanish boss.
Who Will Be The Next West Ham Manager? Frank Lampard Tops The Betting
The SportsCasting traders, as well as the odds from the best football betting sites in the UK, are suggesting that former Hammers legend Frank Lampard is the favourite to be the next West Ham manager.
This season West Ham have made just an average start to their league campaign, but with more defeats than wins there are some rumblings that current boss Julen Lopetegui is coming under some pressure. He took over at the London club in May 2024.
Out-of-Work Lampard Would Be An Obvious Fit For The Hammers
Having won a European Cup for the Hammers but still leaving the club, former manager David Moyes was always going to be a tough act to follow and so could ‘out of work’ Frank Lampard be the perfect fit?
Incidentally, Moyes is as big as 25/1 if you fancy the Scot to return for another spell at West Ham.
Back to Lampard and, of course, he was a playing legend for the London side and due to that would be able to hit the ground running should the board turn to him as their next West Ham manager.
Lampard’s last main managers job was at Everton, where he lasted a year between Jan 2022 and 2023, but has since held the reins as Chelsea caretaker boss for a month at the end of the 2023 season.
Therefore, with Frank Lampard also being a free agent, then this, along with his ‘legend status’ at the club would make him an easy target for West Ham.

Other West Ham Manager Possibilities Include Graham Potter and Ex-Player Michael Carrick
At the moment, it seems that former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter is being linked with every club that has a manager under pressure.
Potter, who got a lucrative payout when he left Chelsea, has been dining out on this for the last year or so. But many feel he’s ready to step back into management soon.
He was sacked by the Blues in April 2023 having been in charge for 31 games. Losing 11 of these.
The best betting sites in the UK are also suggesting that another Hammers fans favourite – Michael Carrick – is in the running to be the next West Ham manager.
Carrick is currently in charge at Championship sides Middlesbrough and has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs.
The former midfielder played 136 times for West Ham back in the late 1990’s and early 2000.
So, like Lampard, would be another that you’d expect the fans to take to straight away.
Commentary: sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Andy Newton, reacted to our ‘Next West Ham Manager Odds’ saying:
“Graham Potter will continue to get linked to any side that has a manager under pressure, but I’m not sure West Ham will be the right fit for the former Chelsea man.
“Should the Hammers decide to call time with current boss Julen Lopetegui, you feel that it could be time to turn to more of a fans favourite to win back the supporters.
“Therefore, Frank Lampard looks the obvious call as he’ll be surely looking to kick-start his managerial career again soon. However, with Michael Carrick learning his trade at Boro and doing well, I’d not be shocked to see West Ham take more of a punt on their former player, who is also slightly better value in the market.
