Next Eden Hazard sends Chelsea message and vows 'bigger' things to come

Omari Hutchinson has vowed there is more to come from him at Chelsea after his first season at the club.

Hutchinson made the controversial move across from London from bitter rivals Arsenal last summer after seeing a clearer pathway to first team football at Stamford Bridge. Todd Boehly has placed a huge emphasis on recruiting young talent during his first year as owner and Hutchinson was regarded as a significant coup in this regard.

The 19-year-old is one of the best talents in Premier League 2 and after Arsenal failed to hand him a single senior appearance, made the switch to Chelsea. Hutchinson has been handed two opportunities in the first team across all competitions at the Blues this season, both of which came against Manchester City in January.

While he wasn't really able to showcase the best of his abilities in either match, Hutchinson has still managed to impress for the club's U21s with eight goals and 10 assists in 25 matches. What's more, according to The Athletic back in December, youth coaches at Cobham have even likened him to Chelsea legend Eden Hazard due to a similar dribbling style, ability in front of goal and explosive pace.

With Chelsea likely to get rid of first team wingers Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech this summer, Hutchinson will be looking to make a bigger impact at senior level next season. Writing on his official Twitter account, Hutchinson spoke at his delight of the strides he has made since moving across London but is determined to make 'even bigger ones' in the future.

"First season with Chelsea. Massive steps made personally, even bigger ones to come."
