Who Will Be The Next Brighton Manager? Graham Potter Favourite For Seagulls Return

The SportsCasting traders and best football betting sites in the UK are suggesting that former Seagulls boss Graham Potter is favourite to return to the seaside club, should they sack current manager Fabian Hürzeler.

Potter spent three years at Brighton between 2019 and 2022 – guiding them up the Premier League ranks and establishing them as a solid top-flight side since he moved to them from Swansea.

During his time at Brighton, he managed to take them to their highest top-flight finish (9th) in the 2021-22 season and also became the first Brighton manager to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford in 2022-23.

Chelsea came knocking for Graham Potter in September 2022 – with Roberto De Zerbi taking over.

However, Potter only lasted until April 2023 at the Blues, when a string of poor results saw him depart the London club and he’s been out of work since – meaning should his former club Brighton be interested it will be a lot easier to get the deal done.

David Moyes Also In The Running To Be The Next Brighton Manager

David Moyes left West Ham at the end of the 2023-24 season, and has since been connected to many vacant manager roles – including Brighton.

The Scotsman managed the Hammers to European victory in 2023 but after a tricky following season left West Ham and is another big name that is yet to be enticed back into management.

With Moyes also having spells at Everton and Manchester United, he’s one of the most experienced managers in the Premier League that is currently available – making him a decent option for any side that finds themselves in need of a quick fix this season.

Two Former England Managers Also In The Running To Be Next Brighton Manager

Two other names in the next Brighton manager betting odds market are Lee Carsley and Gareth Southgate – two former England head coaches.

Southgate, of course, left his role with the Three Lions after their summer Euro 2024 defeat. He said he wanted a break, which he’s had – so many are suggesting the former Boro manager will be ready to be tempted back into management.

However, with Southgate’s strong Crystal Palace links, you feel a spell at bitter rivals Brighton might not be the best fit for him.

England U21 manager Lee Carsley, who held the fort for the first eleven national side after Southgate went – is also in the running at 13/2 and third favourite.

Commentary: sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Andy Newton, reacted to our Brighton Manager Odds’ saying:

“Brighton are not a club famed for getting rid of their managers willy-nilly, so current boss Fabian Hürzeler is still a way off getting sacked, despite a few small warning signs.

“However, having suffered a convincing 3-1 home defeat to rivals Palace in December the pressure will be on Hürzeler to put that result behind them.

“If things do get bad though on the south coast, and he’s still available, then Graham Potter returning to Brighton in a bid to get his career back on track is not the worst shout in the world.
