Just like our beloved Trailblazer's bizarre personality, the banners in Honkai: Star Rail are constantly changing, so it's a good idea to keep track of what the current banners and next banners are.
Limited-time rotating banners are called 'Event Warps' in Star Rail, and they usually run for three weeks. Whether it's a new banner or a rerun, once those three weeks are up, it's time to say goodbye and greet the new banners with your stack of Special Pass tickets. Or in my case, a stack of three tickets, because it's hard to save when you want every dang character in the game.
It's best to convert your Stellar Jade into these Special Pass tickets, not the regular Pass tickets used on the standard and Departure Warp banners, because you get plenty of the regular variety by just playing the game. It's much harder to get characters only available for a limited-time—as demonstrated by my pitiful Special Pass ticket reserves—so you'll want all the help you can get when the character you like is available.
Next banners in Honkai: Star Rail
New character The Dahlia (Constance) and a rerun of Firefly are the next banners in Honkai: Star Rail, with The Dahlia a five-star Fire-attacker of the Nihility path, and Firefly a five-star Fire-attacker of the Destruction path. They are both running in Phase 1 of version 3.8.
The boosted four-star characters on The Dahlia and Firefly's next banners are:
- Gallagher (Fire, Abundance)
- Luka (Physical, Nihility)
- March 7th (Ice, Preservation)
Yes, the long wait for an Ever-Flame Mansion character is finally over with The Dahlia's release over a year-and-a-half after the gang were revealed in one of the coolest Myriad Celestia trailers to date. Does that mean we're closer to getting more characters from another morally gray faction with an equally cool Myriad Celestia trailer that's over a year old? Come on HoYo, just shut up and let the IPC take my money already.
My begging aside, version 3.8 is unique in that it will run for eight weeks instead of the usual six. This means there's a Phase 2 and Phase 3 of banners, with Fugue and Lingsha running in Phase 2, and Aglaea and Sunday running in Phase 3. Sorry Rappa fans, the long wait for her rerun continues into 4.0.
The boosted four-star characters on Fugue and Lingsha's next banners are:
- Sampo (Wind, Nihility)
- Natasha (Physical, Abundance)
- Arlan (Lightning, Destruction)
And the boosted four-star characters on Aglaea and Sunday's next banners are:
- Tingyun (Lightning, Harmony)
- Yukong (Imaginary, Harmony)
- Dan Heng (Wind, Hunt)
Current banners in Honkai: Star Rail
Cyrene, Phainon, Cipher, and Mydei are the current banners in Honkai: Star Rail, with all their banners set to end on December 16.
Cyrene is a five-star Ice-attacker of the Remembrance path, Phainon is a five-star Physical-attacker of the Destruction patch, Cipher is a five-star Quantum-attacker of the Nihility path, and Mydei is a five-star Imaginary-attacker of the Destruction path.
The boosted four-star characters on these current banners are:
- Moze (Lightning, Hunt)
- Lynx (Quantum, Abundance)
- Pela (Ice, Nihility)
Saber and Archer are also currently running on the special Collaboration Banner, and you can expect Saber and Archer to stick around for "a long time." I wish I could be more specific than that, but sorry, that's all miHoYo gave us to work with.
What I can tell you is that Saber is a five-star Wind-attacker of the Destruction path, and Archer is a five-star Quantum-attacker of the Hunt path.
Next Light Cone banner in Honkai: Star Rail
Never Forget Her Flame of the Nihility path and Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest of the Destruction path are the next Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail during Phase 1 of version 3.8. These are The Dahlia (Constance) and Firefly's signature Light Cones, respectively. The Dahlia's is running on the Brilliant Fixation Banner, and Firefly's is running on the Bygone Reminiscence Banner.
All of the four-star boosted Light Cones on the next Light Cone banners are:
- Good Night and Sleep Well (Nihility)
- Memories of the Past (Harmony)
- Concert for Two (Sunday)
Then in Phase 2, Long Road Leads Home of the Nihility path and Scent Along Stays True of the Abundance path are rerunning. These are Fugue and Lingsha's signature Light Cones, respectively, and both are featured on the Bygone Reminiscence Banner.
The boosted four-stars on the version 3.8 Phase 2 Light Cone banners are:
- Post-Op Conversation (Abundance)
- The Moles Welcome You (Destruction)
- Geniuses' Repose (Erudition)
And finally, Time Woven Into Gold of the Remembrance path and A Grounded Ascent of the Harmony path are rerunning in Phase 3 of version 3.8. These are Aglaea and Sunday's signature Light Cones, respectively, and both are featured on the Bygone Reminiscence Banner.
The boosted four-stars on the version 3.8 Phase 3 Light Cone banners are:
- Geniuses' Greetings (Remembrance)
- Trend of the Universal Market (Preservation)
- Dance! Dance! Dance! (Harmony)
Current Light Cone banner in Honkai: Star Rail
Cyrene's current Light Cone banner runs all the way until December 16, and it features her signature weapon, This Love, Forever of the Remembrance path.
Also running until December 16 on the Coalesced Truths Banner are reruns of Thus Burns the Dawn, Lies Dance on The Breeze, and Flame of Blood, Blaze My Path. These are Phainon, Cipher, and Mydei's signature Light Cones, respectively.
All of the four-star boosted Light Cones on the current Light Cone banners are:
- The Story's Next Page (Remembrance)
- Concert for Two (Preservation)
- Boundless Choreo (Nihility)
Don't forget that Archer and Saber's signature Light Cones are also a part of the Collaboration Banner. Just tab to the A Thankless Coronation Light Cone to try for Saber's, and The Hell Where Ideals Burn Light Cone to try pulling for Archer's instead.
Honkai: Star Rail banner list
Honkai: Star Rail has taken to throwing banners our way at an alarming rate these days. The 'ol standard of a new character and a rerun every phase of a patch has now turned into a dice roll on whether the Indelible Coterie banner and its six character reruns will appear or not. (Do you not have enough of our money already miHoYo!?)
Choice paralysis aside, these special banners have been a great way to ensure no character gets left behind for too long, which happens all too often in miHoYo's other gacha juggernaut, Genshin Impact.
