Newsboy's Wednesday NAP and horse racing tips for the action at Ludlow, Lingfield, Haydock and Kempton

TRAINER Milton Harris' recovery from the pulmonary embolism he suffered on a flight to Thailand earlier in the month can be boosted by a victory for MULLENBEG (1.45, nap) in the Marsh Commercial Mares' Handicap Hurdle on Wednesday.

The five-year-old is a useful dual bumper winner and she is really motoring over hurdles at the moment.

She easily won a Plumpton mares' maiden and Fakenham mares' handicap both over today's trip and despite going up another 6lb in the ratings, she can go on improving and winning.

Ten minutes later at Lingfield, another mare, AMBER ISLAND (1.55, nb), can outrun her long odds in the Spreadex Sports 100 Refer A Friend Handicap.

Ludlow Racecourse stages a jumps meeting on Wednesday. Newsboy's nap, Mullenbeg, runs in the 1.45 (PA)

The five-year-old produced a career best to resume winning ways over course and distance in April.

She wasn't so impressive on the turf at Chester the following month but she should be well refreshed after a six-month rest and will enjoy being back on the astroturf.
