KRONA (4.40) is the value to take another step forward in the Showcasing Standing At Whitsbury Manor Bibury Cup Handicap over a mile and a half at Salisbury.
Charlie Johnston persevered with running the daughter of Sea The Moon over a mile as a juvenile, but in three starts she showed little.
But this term, sent over a half-mile longer trip, the three-year-old has been transformed.
At Kempton in February she fairly trotted up by five lengths, with three of those behind her winning since.
She followed that victory with a Southwell success under a penalty the following week, this time winning by five and a half lengths.
Despite a 10lb rise in the weights and now back on turf, she looks certain to improve further.
THE COOKSTOWN CAFU (3.50) warrants respect in the Stablemate By AGMA Carlisle Bell Handicap at Carlisle over seven furlongs.
Kevin Ryan’s four-year-old won at Pontefract at the end of last term, before just being chinned by a nose in a 20-runner handicap at Doncaster in October.
He bounced back this season with victory at Redcar on his seasonal debut in April, followed by another success at Pontefract a month later. He has run well in two starts since and should give a good account.
