SILVER GUNN is fancied to rack up a fifth career win by beating eight rivals for the Download Fitzdares For Free Race Streaming Handicap (7.45) at Windsor this evening.
The Marco Botti-trained grey has drawn a blank in six attempts since scoring over course and distance in May of last year.
But there was enough in his return to the fray, again over 10 furlongs on Thamesside, a week ago to think Silver Gunn is ready to fire.
Keen during the early stages, the five-year-old made his way into a challenging position on the run to the final furlong before fading as lack of a recent run took its toll, eventually finishing a three-length third to Peace Man.
