A retired Northern Ireland teacher and politician has graduated from university - almost 70 years after getting his degree.
Frank Feely, from Newry, Co Down, completed a Bachelor of Arts in History, Irish and English in the late 1950s but did not have the opportunity to attend his graduation ceremony.
But the one-time SDLP councillor only made it down to NUI Galway on Monday to graduate. And because he left it so long he was able to collect his degree alongside his granddaughter.
