Helen Flanagan took her three kids to see their favourite Scott Sinclair play for Bristol Rovers on Friday night. The former Coronation Street actress split from the ex-Celtic player last month after 13 years together.
Helen, 32, cheered Scott, 33, on from the side lines with her little ones Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one. Taking to Instagram as they watched Scott play, Helen shared a picture of her and her daughter along with the caption: "Watching daddy @scotty__sinclair."
She then shared another snap of her two older daughters and said: "cheering on daddy @official_brfc @scotty__sinclair." Despite ending their romance, the couple are reportedly set to reunite for Christmas for the sake of their children.
A source told The Sun that the former couple plan to come together for the children's sake, but there would be no chance that they would rekindle their relationship on a romantic level. A source said: “Helen’s sole focus is the three children she shares with Scott and they want to make this Christmas as ‘normal’ as possible.
“Scott is a professional footballer so often he won’t be around on Christmas day because of his fixtures list, however Helen and Scott are planning something special for the children. Although they’re no longer together they will work together to make it magical for the kids. Helen is not open to talk of reconciliation and she just wants them to focus on being co-parents.”
The news of their split came after Helen was spotted without her engagement ring as she stepped out to the National Television Awards back in October. Earlier this year, Helen opened up about their relationship and revealed they haven't shared a bed since the birth of their daughter Matilda, who is now seven.
The mum-of-three admitted that she has co-slept with the children out of easiness over the past seven years. On Instagram, Helen wrote: “I’ve always co-slept with Charlie and the breastfeeding went hand in hand. I’m doing my house up at the moment (hence why most of my pics are taken in the lounge area, as I haven’t got round to the rest).
“One of my next jobs is mine and Scott's room and after seven years it would be nice as a couple to actually share a bed and not feel like flatmates. I’ve always just co-slept with the kids out of easiness and just basically so I can sleep and just function in the morning.”
