New details have emerged regarding the circumstances leading up to the fatal beating of Tyree Nichols by Memphis police officers. As the city of Memphis released nearly 48 videos, comprising approximately 21 hours of dash cam traffic and body camera footage, a clearer picture of the events that unfolded that night is beginning to emerge.
One of the newly released videos shows an officer informing his colleagues that the initial reason for pulling over Nichols was a suspected speeding violation. Additionally, the footage captures an officer speaking with Nichols' parents after the incident, inquiring about their son's behavior on the night of the incident.
