A Newcastle construction worker spent almost two weeks in hospital after being hit by a 124kg panel.
The man was working as a lift supervisor at a construction site at Eskdale Terrace, Jesmond, when the incident took place on January 22, 2020. He had been using a tower crane to lift a structured insulated panel (SIP), however, during the lifting operation the SIP struck steelwork and fell on top of him.
The worker suffered a fractured collarbone, left shoulder blade, left ankle, and left rib in the incident and spent 13 days in hospital.
