Newcastle weather forecast for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee long weekend

With millions of people across the UK looking forward to the special four-day weekend to celebrate 70 years since the Queen came to the throne, all eyes are on the weather forecast to see whether they can spend their extra days off basking in the sunshine.

According to BBC Weather , the long weekend doesn’t kick off to the best start over in Newcastle as light rain is expected on Thursday 2 June. A moderate breeze is also predicted, with highs hitting a comfortable 16 degrees.

Light showers are also expected in Newcastle on Friday 3 June, reaching a slightly cooler 15 degrees in the afternoon with a gentle breeze. But things are set to improve as we head into the rest of the weekend.
