Newcastle United will head to Dubai for warm-weather training after Thursday night's encounter with Everton at Goodison Park. The Magpies believe that their trip to Saudi Arabia in January contributed greatly to the nine-match unbeaten run in the Premier League, which was only ended by a controversial 1-0 win by Chelsea at the weekend.
Training Ground Guru have released details of Newcastle's stay in the United Arab Emirates during the club's 16-day gap between fixtures in the top-flight. And they report that the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex will be used for training and rehab purposes of United's injured stars.
Arsenal and Manchester United players have previously used the base as well as sporting superstars such as Rory McIlroy and Novak Djokovic.
Speaking on the importance of the Middle East trip earlier in the year, Howe said: "It really did unite the squad, I think the players felt that and you’ve seen what has happened since we've come back. The results have been very strong and the spirit very good off the back of that, so we’ll look at doing something similar."
It is understood Howe has been fully backed to use whatever means necessary to achieve a strong finish to the season. Newcastle chiefs are not focused on simply sealing survival but want the highest placing possible with a squad and staff bonus set to reward the Magpies based on league position.
