Newcastle United endured frustration as they had to settle for a point against Crystal Palace.
Here's how Lee Ryder has rated the Newcastle United player:
Nick Pope 9
A superb display with a series of fine stops as Palace threatened to cause a shock. Pope stood up to everything that came his way. Man of the match.
Kieran Trippier 8
Can't do much more than keep dropping the ball into space. Put in 15 crosses and will want more change from the forwards than he's getting.
Fabian Schar 7
A pretty good display with plenty of clearances. Had chance to win it at the death.
Sven Botman 7
Solid defensive display and chances to score.
Matt Targett 7
Gave it his all before coming off. Played in some dangerous deliveries and made nine crosses.
Joelinton 8
Has simply picked up where he left off last season. Some important challenges.
Sean Longstaff 7
A good effort. Put himself about and almost scored in first half with glancing header.
Joe Willock 7
Battled hard and denied by a VAR call. Hooked another effort wide.
Miguel Almiron 7
Spent the afternoon threatening Palace. Struck the post and was finding gaps. He looked disappointed to be hooked.
Ryan Fraser 6
Tough afternoon as he found just one accurate cross and picked up a yellow card. But work-rate was certainly there.
Alexander Isak 6
Made a great chance for himself but will be disappointed with his decision to dink it over the keeper. A couple of other sightings. Has been a long week but will impove.
Subs
Jacob Murphy 6 (for Almiron 70)
Had a couple of attempts. Did OK.
Elliot Anderson 7 (for Fraser 70)
Had Palace on the back-foot.
Dan Burn (for Targett 79)
Chris Wood (for Isak 90)
*Subs must play 15 minutes to get a mark.
