Newcastle United vs Arsenal team news as Callum Wilson starts and captains Magpies

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe named Callum Wilson in the starting line-up and handed him the captain's armband against Arsenal.

Fabian Schar also returned to the team with Jamaal Lascelles left out of the side while Kieran Trippier was only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench. And he was joined by fit-again Scotland international Ryan Fraser.

With Trippier on the sidelines Emil Krafth continued at right-back while Sean Longstaff continued in midfield with Jonjo Shelvey and Joe Willock injured.

Fraser has been missing since the 1-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers when he went off with a hamstring injury. But he could primed for a cameo against the Gunners.
