Nottingham Forest plot £2million move for Sean Longstaff
Championship side Nottingham Forest are being linked with a £2million move for Magpies midfielder Sean Longstaff.
The Newcastle academy graduate is out of contract in the summer, but Eddie Howe is keen on keeping the 24-year-old at St James' Park.
The Toon head coach said Longstaff's "long-term" future was at the club, casting some doubt over the rumours.
The midfielder has struggled for consistent game time but was impressive against Leeds United after being brought on as a substitute, replacing Joelinton.
Forest were linked with a loan move for the midfielder last month, but recent reports claim they're stepping up their efforts to sign the player on a permanent deal.
Dele Alli left out of Tottenham squad to face Chelsea
Newcastle 'target' Dele Alli was left out of the Tottenham Hotspur squad to face Chelsea yesterday, casting further doubt over his future.
The Magpies have reportedly approached the London club over a possible loan move for Alli, who has fallen out of favour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Alli was part of the Spurs squad that reached the final of the Champions League three years ago, but he's been unable to rediscover that form that made him an integral part of the squad.
A loan move is believed to be the best move for all parties, with the England international on contract until 2024.
With the World Cup approaching, Alli is keen to be a part of Gareth Southgate's plans and regular game time would be a chance to show he's still got what it takes to play for the Three Lions.
Newcastle 'to hold talks' with Brighton's Yves Bissouma
Newcastle are planning to raid Brighton & Hove Albion for midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to the Daily Mail.
The Mali international has been a stellar addition to Graham Potter's side, with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool tracking the midfielder.
However, the Seagulls value the midfielder at around £50million and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle would part with that amount of money.
The Toon are second bottom of the Premier League and the threat of relegation to the Championship remains a concern.
Aston Villa are also keen on the midfielder but are exploring other options.
