Here are the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Sunday, 25 September 2022.
Maddison
Newcastle United will reportedly launch another move for Leicester City midfielder James Maddison in January. That is according to Football Insider, who claim that the Magpies are keeping contact with Maddison’s representatives and feel his value could drop come the winter.
Newcastle had two bids rejected for Maddison during the summer with Leicester remaining firm in their £60 million valuation. Maddison has less than two years left to run on his current deal at the Foxes.
Ramos race
Bayern Munich are not in the race for reported Newcastle United target Goncalo Ramos, according to Kicker. The German champions are in the market for a new striker but Ramos is not thought to be among their list of targets.
Newcastle and Manchester United are among the Premier League sides reportedly keen on the 21-year-old. Ramos has eight goals in all competitions so far this season.

January
Newcastle United chiefs are already plotting their January moves in the hope they won't be left behind when the winter market rolls around. The Magpies added four summer additions, with Eddie Howe strengthening his defence and bringing in marquee addition Alexander Isak at the other end of the pitch.
However, Newcastle were still trying to get deals done in the final hours of the window after finding the business end of the summer a frustrating one. Howe admitted his team were working right up until the final hours of the window, with other Premier League sides unwilling to do business late on.
Newcastle know the January window will provide even more problems and have already made a start identifying key targets they may be able to secure during the season.
