Here are the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Monday, March 7.
Magpies planning bid for Bundesliga star
Newcastle United are planning to bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby, according to the Daily Star.
The Magpies are reportedly preparing to offer the German club around £50m for the services of the winger, who has shone in the Bundesliga this season.
He began his professional career in his native France with Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Germany in 2019.
The 22-year-old's form in the German top flight has earned him four caps for the France national team and the report claims Newcastle hope they can agree on a 'fairly reasonable price' for the pacey winger.
Yates admission dampens chance of Newcastle switch
Newcastle United have previously been linked with Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates but a recent admission from the 24-year-old may suggests a move may not materialise.
Yates has shone under Forest boss Steve Cooper and has declared his intention to remain at the City Ground.
Speaking to our sister site NottinghamshireLive, he said: "I love it here. I want to stay here.
"But I’m leaving that to the people who sort that out. I’m just focusing on recovering from Friday night.
"It doesn’t sway my attention from anything. It just shows the club are believing in me. That probably gives me more confidence than anything - to keep improving, to prove them right over why they’d want to keep me."
Journalist claims Magpies are still in touch with Botman
The dialogue between Newcastle United, Sven Botman and the defender's representatives remains open, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Botman was heavily linked with a move to St James' Park but a deal was not struck and Newcastle bolstered the centre of their defence with the addition of Dan Burn from Brighton & Hove Albion.
However, Botman is reportedly still keen on the idea of joining the Magpies.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones said: "The dialogue’s still open with Botman and his representatives, and he was, and is still, keen to the idea [of joining Newcastle]."
