Newcastle and Chelsea reportedly targeting France midfielder
Newcastle are considering a move for French international Adrien Rabiot, according to Tuttosport. The Italian outlet were cited as a source by the Sun Sport Twitter account, which claimed the Magpies could be embroiled in a battle with Chelsea for the Juventus midfielder.
With Todd Boehly's £4.5bn takeover still to be ratified, Newcastle could jump in first for ex-Paris-Saint Germain ace Rabiot, who it is understood would command a £17million fee. Rabiot has 26 caps and one goal for France to his name and made 32 appearances in Serie A for Juve, as they finished the season a disappointing fourth.

Magpies interested in out-of-contract Croatian star, say Sky Italia
Newcastle United are keen on Inter Milan's out-of-contract star Croatian Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Italia. The report states that the 33-year-old winger is mulling over other offers from England and Spain, whilst Inter are also pushing out the boat with a lucrative new deal to try and keep him.
It has also been reported that Perisic's representatives will now let the Nerazzurri know on Friday whether he wants to remain at the San Siro. If he decides to move on, the Italian media outlet are then predicting that he will be heading for either the Premier League or La Liga.
Marseille man was never on his way to St James' Park
Rumours that Newcastle United were interested in signing Boubacar Kamara have been rubbished by Sky Sports News presenter Pete Graves. Kamara, 22, joined Aston Villa on a five-year deal from Marseille this week.
The defensive midfielder had been linked with a move to St James' Park by certain outlets but Graves tweeted: "Despite some reports, #nufc had absolutely ZERO interest in Kamara." Kamara is expected to make his senior international debut for France in the Nations League next month.
